The Portuguese Standard EN 14683:2019+AC 2020 defines the requirements and test methods for masks for clinical use. The biocompatibility test must be fulfilled according to ISO 10993-1; exposure effects of masks on the human body, namely cytotoxicity, sensitization and irritation.
